Dear Juan Felipe Herrera Elementary School Community,

Welcome to the beginning of the 2025–2026 school year! It is with great excitement and anticipation that I extend a warm welcome to all our students, families, and staff. This year promises to be one filled with continued growth, exploration, and achievement as we build on the strong foundation we’ve established together.

At Juan Felipe Herrera Elementary, we are proud to maintain a strong focus on high expectations, academic achievement, and consistent school attendance. Our collective efforts during the 2024–2025 school year led to remarkable improvements in student performance, as reflected in our iReady assessments, State Test results, and increased daily attendance. These accomplishments are a testament to the dedication of our students, the support of our families, and the commitment of our exceptional staff.

We remain dedicated to providing an education that not only emphasizes academic excellence but also nurtures the development of the whole child. Through our integration of S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), we continue to inspire curiosity and creativity in every classroom. Additionally, our focus on social-emotional learning ensures that students grow in empathy, resilience, and self-awareness—skills essential for lifelong success.
